Working title; I hope the memories I don’t have feel like this. In this video work, I used home video footage taken within the first few years of my life while living in Trenton Ontario. The footage was originally sent to my mother’s family back in Nova Scotia. I attempted to emulate how a memory feels. Sounds, moments and feelings melting together, recalling only parts non-chronologically.

I have never known a time where my parents were together, these videos prove that time existed, although I cannot remember it. It feels like a dream watching the footage, not a dream one wishes, but as something that doesn’t feel real. I hope that the memories I don’t have feel like this video.
